About Us

Business owners –

Aidan Bindoff has been training dogs professionally since 2002, when he first started running small classes partly to help his own reactive dog. He then completed a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Marine Science (Hons 1st Class) at the University of Tasmania. Aidan’s background in behavioural science has given him a thorough understanding of behaviour modification techniques and learning theory. At Every Dog we use only evidence based training and behaviour modification approaches, which involve setting dogs up for success, and reinforcing those behaviours we want to see repeated. Aidan has written published articles on a wide variety of dog behaviour and training issues, and is a featured author in Better Together: the collected wisdom of modern dog trainers.

Aidan now divides his time between working with dogs with behaviour problems and research as a statistician working in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology related to ageing and dementia. He has also published methods in animal movement.

While Ingrid Inglis has enjoyed training her pet dogs since the age of 7, she truly only started to learn about the science of behaviour modification when she had a horse with some behavioural issues. She then went onto learning more about training and eventually met Aidan at “chicken camp”, where trainers improve their training skills by working with chickens (a challenging and surprisingly teachable training subject!) Ingrid now runs most of the classes and courses at Every Dog, where she blends empathy with ability in equal measures.

Maddie Johnson holds a Certificate III in Dog Training and Behaviour, and has competed at National level in Agility. Don’t let appearances fool you, in her relatively short career Maddie has trained more dogs to a higher standard than most people ever will, including dogs with serious behaviour problems and physical challenges (two of Maddie’s resident dogs are deaf).
