April Newsletter

We have undergone a lot of changes since our last newsletter, so I thought it well past time we had an update!
We have added a few classes to our schedule, and they would be suitable for a lot of different dogs.

Puppy Club – Wednesdays 8pm
For puppies between 8 weeks and five months. This is a drop in class that you can start any time, and focuses on socialisation and building confidence, with plenty of time to talk about any puppy training issues (and successes!) you may be having.
We offer two price points for this class. You can buy 5 consecutive classes for $150, or you can get unlimited classes until your dog is 5 months old for $210.
If you know anyone getting a young puppy soon, we would love if you could let them know about our new classes!

Social Skills
We have been having some wonderful success in our social skills classes. Each course runs on a theme, and we focus on really calm behaviours in proximity to other dogs. This class is suitable for a lot of reactive dogs, so if you are interested just check with us to see if your dog is suitable.
We have a new course starting on 2nd May (Tuesdays 7pm), and the theme for that will be husbandry skills (Like checking teeth, trimming nails etc)

Hike’n’Train Classes
These are run approx. once a month instead of a Walk’n’Train class.
There is less training, more walking, and plenty of fun!
Classes are typically between 2-3 hours, and instructors bring their dogs as well.
We still have space in our Easter Monday Class, which will be held at Arm End, and the next one after that will be held on 13th May. Location TBA
We ask that you don’t book a Hike n Train unless you have been to several walk n train classes already.

Harnesses and Leads and Clickers, Oh My!
We have just added a page to our website detailing what we have available to buy in class.
You can view it at

Finally, with Easter here and our houses busy, it is good to remind ourselves to keep an eye on our children and dogs, looking to interrupt inappropriate behaviours. Here is a couple of great posters from www.drsophiayin.com to remind us about what is and isn’t appropriate interactions between dogs and children:
